Tip to stop pm's windows poping up from non friends
and still see the messages without ignore them all.

In messenger menu select Preferences then select Messages

and then Messages are shown in a single Message Box

You will then see this window
When you get pm's from a Non Friend displayed in a list form
for each pm message, In place of those pop up windows.
